I have been a musician most of my life, but my passion for music and instruments took a back seat to a busy life of work and raising a family. Some time ago, something sparked me to get back into it. Since that moment, I have been playing every day, and I started to build a healthy collection of guitars and amps. I love gear as much as anyone, and every time I go to a new city, I seek out and visit the local guitar shops. I spend a lot of time in Charleston, SC even though I reside in Raleigh, NC. Rusty’s Cool Guitars (previously owned by John Campi) was a common spot for me to stop during my travels. 

One day, John told me he was closing the shop, so I initially figured, “Heck yeah...I can get some good deals”. On my way out of the shop, he said, "Why don't you just buy the store, then I won't have to shut it down". I laughed and walked out. After a week or so, I started to think about how amazing that would be, and a few months later, I was the owner of Rusty's Cool Guitars (July 2022).
