12 Watt Cathode-Biased - (2) EL84s With the Coyote amp you will find a unique smoothness and responsiveness unrivaled by small and big amps alike. The little brother of the Sidewinder, the Coyote has been designed with a classic cathode biased power amp design. The power amp is rich in harmonic content and has a great British character, which is developed via (2)-EL84 power tubes. The power section is self biased allowing power tubes to be changed without the technical attention normally required by amplifiers using grid biasing. The simplicity of the Coyote design is truly an asset for the user. Completing the Coyote's tube compliment are (3)-12AX7 preamp tubes. All tubes are hand-selected for the ultimate in tone and reliability. With this tube compliment and design, there are many classic sounds that can be conjured up when this amp is put to the test. You'll immediately notice the clean, simplistic controls. 2 Volumes, one tone and a midrange cut switch. The two volumes operate 2 separate and differently voiced preamp channels (one dark and one bright) that can be blended in nearly infinite combinations to create different tones without the need for conventional tone controls which can rob your amp of gain! Add the simple passive tone control, the switch to change your midrange focus and the hi and low gain inputs that can be used individually or simultaneously and the possibilities are amazing and they're all good!
